The gardens of Thomas Jefferson’s beloved Monticello home provide the inspiration for the Plume restaurant’s seasonal menus, which showcase only the freshest and highest quality ingredients from local farmers and purveyors. Drawing on the time-honored techniques for seemless execution a special seven-course tasting dining menu invites patrons to enjoy Chef Jakubeic’s personal selections for a highly memorable, epicurean evening.

A hand-painted mural of Monticello’s south vineyard graces the walls of Plume, evoking Thomas Jefferson’s passion for cultivating, collecting and enjoying fine wines. This lifelong pastime is also reflected in our impressive wine cellar of more than 1,300 labels. Presided over by sommelier Michael Scaffidi, Plume’s wine list spans more than a dozen nationalities and dates back to a rare 1780 Borges Madeira Bual. Among the more than 50 vintages are those Jefferson himself enjoyed in his time as well as newer wines he might select were he alive today.
