Sean Mulligan has been the Restaurant Manager at Plume since May 2014, bringing more than a decade of restaurant industry experience to The Jefferson Washington, DC. As Washington DC’s only Forbes five-star restaurant, Mulligan is intimately involved in every aspect of the restaurant from evaluating business and employee performance to creating and developing Plume’s marketing and promotional initiatives. Mulligan works side by side with Executive Chef Ralf Schlegel to properly plan and coordinate the menu, in addition to managing the front of house to ensure the atmosphere and ambiance remains elegant and immaculate for every guest that walks through the front door. With a strong background that spans over a variety of restaurants and cuisine styles, Mulligan continues to provide his thoughtful, well-executed service to Plume.
Mulligan previously served as the General Manager at the James Beard Awarded, Palena Restaurant, in DC. Prior to Palena, Mulligan was Manager and Maitre D. at Daniel Boulud’s three Michelin star awarded DB Bistro Moderne in Miami, Florida. Rounding out his hospitality and culinary expertise, Mulligan also served as Assistant General Manager and General Manager for Apety Group’s French restaurant Le Marais and Bistro de Paris respectively.
